[comp.windows.x] xterm not running for non root user

You got it: -O screws things up big time on Sun 4's. The part of xterm
that gets hosed and causes it to dump code (can't remember what signal
it gets) is in the scroll bar code. I'll bet that if you start xterm
w/o scroll bars you'll be ok. Try it with scroll bars and it'll crash.
Compile without -O and it should run fine - at least it has been here,
for the last  3 1/2 months.... I'd advise anyone who's working with
a Sun 4 to avoid using -O on anything until Sun comes up with a reliable
optimizer for their sparc C compiler.
