References: citcsv.109 Someone recently suggested that mkpath be modified to only use the "Mail:" line rather than both the "News:" and "Mail:" lines. When I wrote version 1.0 of mkpath, I did just that. I found that with the available data, I knew how to get to 20 sites. When I included both the "News:" and "Mail:" lines (called "Usenet:" and "UUCP:" back then), I could get to 350 sites. Most of the data for the "Mail:" line is incomplete. Many sites have not included that data. Some sites don't want that data to be public. For the most part, sites that transmit news do transmit mail. There are exceptions, but because of incomplete data, we must make the assumption that sites transmit both news and mail. Please check the data Mark is sending now. If it is incorrect or incomplete, please update it. To the person who submitted citcsv.109: Next time, put your name on the thing. At least include something that tells how to send mail to you, like the site you are at and your username. Somewhere down the line this info was lost in the header. It's always nice to see who sent the thing after you've read the article. Sometimes the header has scrolled off the screen. Mike Mitchell duke!mcnc!ncsu!mcm

All sites that do not forward mail could send a message to one person who could compile the listing and then post it on the net. It would probably help if people that know of a site that does not forward mail, also sent the information. It would make for some duplications but it would be compleate. I elect myself to be that one person. You can send your mail if it makes it to: ihnp4!stolaf!umn-cs!minn-cs!tim

OOOPPPS! As most of you have noticed, my electronic address is: ihnp4!stolaf!umn-cs!minn-ua!tim. The sock miners refered to on net.misc must have gotten some of my thoughts when I was typing that. ihnp4!stolaf!umn-cs!minn-ua!tim
