I'm not sure how to start up xdm. Right now I have /usr/lib/X11/xdm in my 'rc.local' file. Is this how you're supposed to run xdm? ( It seems to work ... ) The sample initialization code works fairly well, but I added '-C' to the xterm commands in Xsession. Supposedly things block if the system console is not available for message output? As for contrib stuff, should we submit bug reports to expo? An example is contrib/games/mazewar - it looks for the cursor bitmap in "bitmaps/" while it should really look in "/usr/include/X11/bitmaps/" to keep everyone from having to have a copy (R3 kills mazewar if you don't have the cursor bitmap available). Right now I have /usr/lib/X11/xdm in my 'rc.local' file. That's a fine way to run it. I added '-C' to the xterm commands in Xsession. Sounds reasonable. As for contrib stuff, should we submit bug reports to expo? Nope. Submit them to the author (if you figure out who), or submit them to the net if you think there is sufficient interest.
