I'm looking for a bitmap image (in some usable form) of the world for use in an X application. It needs to be a Mercator-style projection, and of sufficient size that one could distinguish the countries fairly well. Something along the lines of (at least) 640 X 480 would be nice, but smaller might be usable. Country/state/whatever boundaries are not necessary, but acceptable. Does anyone know if such a beast exists, and if so, where I could get a copy of it? I can FTP if necessary. Oh, and please E-mail if possible. Thanks!
