Following the call for comment on a new database/data management newsgroup a week or so ago, Timos Sellis (timos@ucbingres) has received over 30 affirmatives and probably more on the way. I haven't seen any negative comment on it either, and it certainly makes at least as much sense as net.ai and net.math. Therefore, I will be creating the group very soon. This article is to request comment on the name -- "net.db". Are there any objections? Suggestions for a better, more describtive name, other than resorting to something like "net.database"? Or is "net.database" a better choice? Please *MAIL* your responses to me. Thanks. -- Gene "4 months and counting" Spafford The Clouds Project, School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA 30332 CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf%GATech.CSNet @ CSNet-Relay.ARPA uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,hplabs,ihnp4,linus,seismo,ulysses}!gatech!spaf
