SYNOPSIS:
recipe for turning the Sun Alternate key into a second control key
no longer works.
DESCRIPTION:
Under X11r2, I was able to do the following:
xmodmap -e "clear Lock"
xmodmap -e "keysym Break = Control_R"
xmodmap -e "add Control = Control_R"
this turned the Anternate key into a control key.
I no longer remember how I figured this out, but it don't work no more.
I am not sending this to xbugs, because I suspect that something
that I don't understand has changed.jmd@ursa.UUCP (Josh Diamond) (12/15/88)
Does anyone out there know if I can use xmodmap on a Sun3 running X11R2
to change the way the Caps key works? I would like to disable the Caps
key alone, and make Control+Caps toggle the Lock modifier. Is this
possible?
Please respond via email -- I will post a summary...
Thanks in advance...
Josh

If I understand you, you can't do this with xmodmap.
