Question 4a: Is the Core => Object + RectObj + WindowObj split complete?
Question 4b: Where can I find the documentation about it (purpose,
proposed new subclasses of Object and RectObj, etc)?
The Object/RectObj/WindowObj classes are not part of the standard Intrisincs
specification. The fact that they exist in the MIT implementation is either
a bug or a feature, probably depending on whether you understand their purpose
and have used them. Several organizations have begun to use this functionality
(which was created by Digital), and there is sentiment for getting this
proposed as part of the standard. At this point there is no documentation
that I am aware of, and no particular guarantee that the functionality will
remain unchanged in future releases.
