The HP release correctly does not have source. I assume you mean the release A.00.xx of X11 from HP. Please note that the release from HP was not derived from the same source as the MIT public domain source. There are differences. If you get the MIT source for HP-UX and compile it on your HP machine, you may very well detect significant differnces. HP works closely with the people at MIT to try to ensure that the Server on the MIT release is OK, but HP does not invest the same amount of resources to the MIT release as it does to it's product releases. I do not have a list of the differences and I do not think anybody does.
