I tried for about a week to get the xterk program running on my machine, but I didn't succeed in it. Here's my configuration: I run on a HP9000/370 as a diskless client on a HP9000/350 server Yellow Pages runs also on the system. I changed the inetd.conf and services files, but I could not make the xtrek font, because we don't have the bnf2snf program. netstat -a show a *.xtrek entry, so that should be fine. When I try to start xtrek up, The xtrek program just immediately stops, because the first read it does returns a 0. How come? Please help, Thanks, Marco Lesmeister.

In regards to bdf2snf, I changed my Makefile like so: # # jas (Jeff Schmidt) Use xfc to compile the font. I compiled this on a 9000/350 and get similar results. I don't know why. I'd like to figure it out someday. It's just a matter of time... You might try the standard Chris Guthrie (Sys V shared Mem) version... I've got that running on a 9000/840, but haven't tried it on a s300 yet. >Please help, Good luck >Marco Lesmeister. Marco and everyone else with HP's (quite a lot I think): My next release works on the HP's. I'm just now working on getting it running on Apollo's. When I release this next version, it will have been tested (and work!) on: Sun 3/50, 3/60, 4/110, both monochrome and color screens; HP's (don't know models...I didn't do the testing), SGI-GT's, and Apollo's (don't know enough about apollo's to know the model numbers). I assume this is the X11 version of xtrek that ddickey@unix.eta.com posted a little while ago. I've fixed it to work with my machine (9000/350 running HP-UX 6.2 and X11) and sent him the patches so that it compiles and runs correctly on hpux.
