Well, it seems that what I am looking for doesn't exist, or I'm looking for the wrong thing. So, let me try and explain what I need. We need to have some X-windows setups for a seminar. I originally went about getting X11R3 to run on our Encore Multimax, but it turns out that SCO will be supporting X-Windows for Xenix, which we will soon have. Problem 1 solved. Now, what we need to do is set up some terminals to run X-Windows on. I saw the list of X-Terminals available (all > $1000). What I understand of X-Terminals is that they are directly hooked to the Ethernet. I also understand that there is software available for PC's with Ethernet cards to be used as X-terminals (assuming proper configuration, VGA/EGA or whatever is required). Since we already have several PC's on the Ethernet running PC-NFS, we would also like to be able to use these for X-Windows. Does anybody know of the software to run it??? Also, I believe I saw a DEC VR260 being used for X-Windows, but I'm not sure if this model is an X-Windows terminal, or if it needs something else in addition to work. Could someone elaborate on this??? Any information is greatly appreciated. I can summmarize and post... ============================================================================== Brian O'Neill, MS-DOS Software Exchange Coordinator ArpaNet: boneill@hawk.ulowell.edu UUCP: {(backbones),harvard,mit-eddie,et. al.}!ulowell!hawk.ulowell.edu!boneill
