In particular, things like xterm beeping take a couple of seconds too long. Gnu emacs is actually useable in R3 but I'd like to find out what changes people have been making to the server to speed things up? Can anyone who has installed the Purdue+ mods on these color machines comment on how much speed up they obtained? Thanks, -Sundar
