[comp.windows.x] running X on Exploders

kgk@CS.BROWN.EDU (02/09/89)

Please be warned that I am completely ignorant about X. Therefore,
some of my terminology, i.e., ``running X'', may mean something
different from what you mean.

Please reply by e-mail, as I am not on this list.

I would like to have xterm, or GNU Emacs, or some other program run
on a Sun, and have it output to a window on the bitmap display of a
TI Exploder, and have its keyboard input bound to the Exploder
keyboard (I don't care too much about the mouse, I don't think).

Is this possible, and if so, is there a painless way to accomplish
it? My idea of painless is FTP some files, compile them on the
Lispm, load them, and say something like (invoke-x-client :on-host
"sunburnt" :program "xterm" . xterm-options).

Any pointers are greatly appreciated. I am ignorant enough that for
all I know, this is already available on the Exploder sitting right
next to me at this moment... Thanks a million!!
