[comp.windows.x] X on a Convex C2

schueler@venus.berlin.mpg.dbp.de (Dierk Schueler) (03/16/89)

Has anybody ported Xlib and the various toolkits to a Convex C2. I run
into trouble when compiling Xaw. The C-compiler will not take medium size
strings when present at compile time.

Any hints (Convex are you listening!) ???

XV11R3 Xlib and Xt have been successfully ported to all of the CONVEX
C-series machines. X runs under V6.2, V7.0, and V7.1 CONVEX UNIX OS.

We have implemented X11.3 on a Convex C2. Some of the clients had problems
with accessing zero pointers, but in general it was easy.
We use visual XDS 640 Terminals as display stations.
