Since everyone seemed to be talking about the new spate of dbx front ends, I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon... I've got an X11 based front end for gdb 3.1 which I'll be releasing soon. My question: Who is willing to beta test it? It uses the athena widget set and is careful not to be BSD or SysV dependent, so it should run on just about anything. (I hope). The only drawback is that it requires patches for gdb (which I will include). Before you flame me for this, be it known that the original *didn't* require modification to gdb in any way, but I made the mistake of talking about it to RMS who basically shot down the method I was using and made a good case for modifying gdb (hint: It has a lot to do with the way gdb does/will be keeping history). Send me mail if you're interested. Comments, as always, are appreciated. Jordan Hubbard pyramid!pcsbst!jkh jkh@violet.berkeley.edu
