Someone in the U.K. (the name eludes me at the moment, sorry) has made public domain versions of crypt() and friends available to the rest of the world. I wasn't referring to the problem of people outside the US getting their hands on crypt and friends. I was referring to the problem of people inside the US trying to export "cryptographic control software" (more than just DES itself falls into this category). Whether our stuff will or won't fall into this category is unknown.
