I've been having problems with applications compiled on a Sequent Symmetry which use the toolkit and Athena widgets on a variety of servers, both R2 and R3. For example, xmh dumps core with a seqmentation fault when it tries to highlight command buttons. This seems to happen more often when running twm. Other applications exhibit the same behavior. dbx stack trace shows it performing a malloc when it dies. Is there something wrong with Sequent's malloc, the toolkit, or something else? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rich Bingle bingle@cs.purdue.edu

Suggesting that it is not MIT's Fault, although that is always a possibility. Has anyone else noticed this type of behavior. Chris D.
