Has the author of "xpaint" done his total rewrite yet? Can he let us know how soon it will be done? In case you missed my little wish list, here it goes again: Output of the image to a postscript file. " to GIF and other forms. Input of GIF and other forms(minus postscript). Input and output in MacPaint format. Support for 2 - 24 planes of color or greyscale. Conversion of color images to greyscale(dither and such). And all basic paint tools such as those found in the current xpaint and those found in MacPaint. I hope the author is listening. We love your xpaint utility and were looking forward for the new version. Thanks, -franco =================================== === ========= ===================== = Frank A. Ah, exactly what I'm looking for.. Input as to what people are looking for in a color image editor. But I have a question for you, when you inquire as to the "basic paint tools" what exactly are you looking for? I am looking (as my README pleads) for input as to what an Image editor requires in the way of features, since I've not done much in the way of editing images since I played with MacPaint about 4 years ago. -- name : David Koblas uucp : {ames, decwrl}!mips!koblas place: MIPS Computers Systems domain: koblas@mips.com quote: "It was never ment to be a game, NEVER." -- Rollerball
