[comp.windows.x] Autocad under X? and the DECwindows tree maker?

jrg@Apple.COM (John R. Galloway) (04/15/89)

I notice in the April issue of MIPS magazine in the articles on the Data General
Maverick 88000 based workstation there are pictures of what clearly seems to
be Autocad output (i.e. same pictures as in their adds) in X windows. Does
anyone know if this is real Autocad or sears Autocad? (i.e. Autocad under
X, or just an Autocad file displayer under X, which I have seen on other
systems). I also saw recently where Autocad is being ported to SCO/Xenix,
does this include porting to OpenDesktop = X?

In the same MIPS issue the DECStation 3100 article showed a picture of
what appears to be fractal trees (maples and oaks not B's etc) also in an
X window. Has this program been posted to x.sources? It looks really neat.

Note that neither article included lists of applictions (3rd party or otherwise)
that were available on each platform.
