Hi! We are heading towards implmenting a large number of X conversant workstations and terminals into an existing VAX/Ultrix environment. What the system management folks and networking folks are asking me about is whether there is any work being done in analyzing what types of load an X 'station' puts onto a network, a VAX being used as a file server, etc. Also, another thing being sought is some means of simulating a large number of X users before we have the real thing in place. This tool is envisioned as simulating anywhere from a small number to large (50+) users and thus allowing folks to analyze the impact on Ethernet, disk and CPU resources.
