[comp.windows.x] miArc replacement?

alan@APPLE.COM (Alan Mimms) (05/02/89)

Has anyone looked into replacing the sample server miarc.c code with something
that works just as well but doesn't do all of that yukky floating point?
Some people have machines on which floating point just isn't the fastest
thing to do (:->)...

I HAVE NOT looked into doing it myself, although if noone else admits to
it, I probably will sometime soon. The idea would be to use one of those
fast circle/arc drawing algorithms for the "normal" cases and then
resort to the gnarly stuff when the going gets tough.

Anybody in a hacking mood?
