I have placed xcutbuf, a utility for manipulatinig the X11 cut buffers, on expo in contrib/xcutbuf.tar.Z. I also sent it to x-sources, so it should show up there Real Soon Now. xcutbuf lets you put stuff into the cut buffer(s) from the command line, a file, or standard input. It also lets you examine the contents of the cut buffers, and rotate their positions. I plan to use it for constructing aliases (or whatever) to stick data I use often into a cut buffer. Yeah, I know selections are better, but you can't just stuff data into a selection and have the program go away. At least not as I understood the documentation... Dave Curry davy@riacs.edu
