Do you mean to say that the Xt Intrinsics are portable but that the
Xt Athena Widgets are not portable?
No. Both the Xt interface and the Athena Widgets interface enhance application
portability, in that certain OS-dependent features are abstracted. Clearly,
this doesn't make the problem go away, someone still has to go to the effort of
porting these interfaces to each new OS variation. The Athena Widgets in the
main are no less portable than Xt (although at least one, the Load widget,
requires work for just about every OS variation).
