[comp.windows.x] Correct Apollo TMLib/CSM Archives for ftp

laporta@APOLLO.COM (John X. Laporta) (05/11/89)

Correct archives for the Apollo Text Management Library
(TMLib) and Character Set Manager (CSM) are now installed
on expo.

We have solved the ftp and PostScript compression
problems that spoiled some of our earlier archives.

The correct archives are

    SOURCE
        contrib/apollo_tmlib_csm_src.tar.Z

This archive has been correct for some time now.
Contains source for the libraries and examples,
with Makefiles. Builds libtml.x.a, the TMLib
library, libtmlclib.a, the TMLib C interface library,
and libcsmgr.a, the standalone Character Set
Manager (CSM). CSM functionality is also included
in TMLib. A C interface is included.

    ASCII DOCUMENTATION
        contrib/apollo_tmlib_csm_doc_ascii.tar.Z

This is meant primarily to be used as an online
quick reference. Since it is merely stripped out of
Interleaf documentation, the format isn't terribly
        beautiful

    POSTSCRIPT DOCUMENTATION
        contrib/apollo_tmlib_csm_doc_ps_tml_call.tar.Z
        contrib/apollo_tmlib_csm_doc_ps_tml_prog.tar.Z

The first is the TMLib Call Reference. The second
is the Programmer's Guide with tutorial and cookbook.
The latter includes an overview of the library's
functionality and a step-by-step run through of the
examples. The first comprises 17 PostScript files, the
second 35. These files were produced from Printerleaf
using native fonts. Each file has its own copy of the
common PostScript prolog used for all of them.

Thank you for your patience and the many kind inquiries.

                            John
