Hi, I am interested in information on the availability of any programs which capture 1) the Xlib calls made by a client and/or 2) the X protocol requests sent by a client (locally or across a tcp connection) and/or 3) the X protocol requests received by a server (locally or across a tcp connection) We currently have a set of tools for our internal graphics packages which allow us to 1) debug very complex customer applications by "capturing" the graphics output primitives in a file and then "replaying" and debugging the capture file; 2) analyze the primitive usage patterns of large applications, usually with a view to improving performance (both in the applications and in our own packages); We would like to put together an analogous set of tools to help in the debugging and analysis of complex X applications. Any information/pointers that you could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks, Patricia Babecki --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Patricia Babecki Apollo Computer Inc.
