[comp.windows.x] v04INF1: Info about installing x11-intro-doc submission

valder@gmdzi.UUCP (Wilhelm Valder) (06/07/89)

We have just taken the recent x11 documentation postings from the net. When
we tried to extract the files from the binary sources with the
btoa program delivered with one of the postings, we ran into trouble:
btoa displays the following message:

btoa: Bad line length on line xxx

for several line numbers. When we took a closer look at the files, it
appeared that each of the spotted lines were exactly one character
longer than the other lines in the files.

Did this problem occur anywhere else out there? Could someone give us
a hint, how to cope with this problem? Is it possible to repost these
files?

Any help is appreciated, as we are very interested in using this
document.

	regards,
		Willi.
