[comp.windows.x] illegal instruction from XtMainLoop

tale@pawl.rpi.edu (David C Lawrence) (06/08/89)

Here is a problem which we have been having on our Sun3 network
running SunOS 4.0.1 -- XtMainLoop signals an illegal instruction and
dumps core. Here is what the traceback looks like:

(dbx) where
etext(0x0) at 0x7c274
CallWorkProc(0x7b3a8) at 0x1fc95
XtAppNextEvent(0x7b3a8, 0xefff9e8) at 0x1fe31
XtAppMainLoop(0x7b3a8) at 0x1c4f7
XtMainLoop() at 0x1c4df
main(argc = 1, argv = 0xefffa78, 0xefffa80), line 147 in "main.c"
(dbx)

This happened with xman (we still don't have a working xman) and now
the exact same thing happens when I try to run the recently posted (to
comp.sources.x) xrobots. Our X11R3 is fixed with patches 1 through 9.
Does anyone have any idea what our problem might be?

Thanks in advance.

Dave
