Does anybody know of some hack to let xterm be transparent to 8 bit characters? I am working on a SUN with X11.R3 and would like to set up the keyboard so I could use some of the Icelandic characters in the ECMA fonts that came with the X distribution. I thought it would be sufficient to issue a 'stty pass8' once in the xterm window, but apparently xterm strips off the 8 bit before it ouputs anything.
