Were can we find PolyText16 type fonts? I am also wondering where I can
get some 2D fonts so that I can test our server. Aren't all of the
fonts distributed with X11R3 linear8Bit.

Aren't all of the fonts distributed with X11R3 linear8Bit. The bdf files aren't linear or matrix. The MIT font compiler will make large fonts use a matrix format; other font compiler might choose to make them linear.
