[comp.windows.x] PolyText8/PolyText16

ostberg@savax.UUCP (Thomas M Ostberg) (07/20/89)

Were can we find PolyText16 type fonts? I am also wondering where I can
get some 2D fonts so that I can test our server. Aren't all of the
fonts distributed with X11R3 linear8Bit.

Look at contrib/fonts/bdf/oldx11.

The bdf files aren't linear or matrix. The MIT font compiler will make
large fonts use a matrix format; other font compiler might choose to make
them linear.
