I am wondering is there anybody out there has a version of X11 software that does more than the *classical* /usr/bin/spell. It is very frustrating using spell because it never checks the grammar. Recently, I read a PC brochure and found one offer: Grammatik III: It recognizes nouns, verbs, adverbs, articles, adjectives, and pronouns. It catches problems no other grammar or spelling checker can: "...incomplete sentences, errors in subject-verb agreement, incorrect homonyms like their/there/they're, misspelling of possessives like you/your/its/it's, and who's/whose, transpositions like form/from, the improper use of articles, and spelling errors like can not, market place, proof read, etc. ...." ... Using Artificial Intelligence technology, it "reads" your writing for errors in grammar, style, usage, and spelling. It is interactive; it shows suspect problems, offers suggestions for improvement, and let you edit your document immediately. Unfortunately, it is PC version. Anybody has anything similar? I appreciate any pointer, or comment. Sender: Eng-Pheow Yeo Mail: hp-pcd!hpsgwg!hpsgwn!pheow
