IBM has made available to the X Consortium its gemstones set of benchmark programs. Gemstones is an automated performance suite for X11. The tar file contains o Make.sh--a shell script that builds the entire suite, runs the benchmarks, and then formats the results. o bin directory--contains shell scripts to run various benchmarks. These may be altered and new ones added. o gen directory--directory with source modules used by all benchmarks. o directories with code for testing specific functions. - arcs - blits - characters - colors - images - lines - points - polys - rects - segments - strings - vectors.
