[comp.windows.x] Athena Widget problem

markley@net1.ucsd.edu (Mike Markley) (07/25/89)

I am working with the Athena widgets using Interactives X11R3
release. I have discovered the following problem with the
Label widget. When I resize the parent the label widget always
keeps its upper lefthand corner stationary but the lower
righthand corner grows to the lower righthand corner of the
parent. I have tried setting the XtNright, XtNleft, XtNtop and
XtNbottom flags to the appropriate chain values without any
luck. Could some one please help me?

It depends upon the parent of the label. If you put the Label as a direct
descendant of the Shell then it will act exactly as you have described. But if
you put the label in a Box widget then it will never resize.

e.g.	Shell -> Box -> Label
