[] We now are receiveing great volumes of duplicate news articles, but lately I have noticed triplicates, and another problem: Duplicates with double headers! We got several of these within the last day. I am including an example of the headers for two such messages in the hope that someone can decypher the problem. I have deleted the message bodies. -------------------- begin first header (our message 421) --------------- Relay-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site dalcs.UUCP Posting-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site pucc-k Path: dalcs!dartvax!decvax!genrad!grkermit!masscomp!clyde!burl!ulysses!mhuxl!ihnp4!inuxc!pur-ee!CS-Mordred!Pucc-H:Pucc-I:Pucc-K:aft From: Pucc-H:Pucc-I:Pucc-K:aft@CS-Mordred.UUCP Newsgroups: net.unix Subject: Unix Pocket Guide Message-ID: <168@pucc-k> Date: Thu, 16-Feb-84 16:15:48 AST Article-I.D.: pucc-k.168 Posted: Thu Feb 16 16:15:48 1984 Date-Received: Mon, 20-Feb-84 01:46:44 AST Organization: Purdue University Computing Center Lines: 22 -------------------- end first header -------------------- --------------- begin second (double) header (our number 428) ---------- Relay-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site dalcs.UUCP Path: dalcs!dartvax!decvax!harpo!ihnp4!houxm!hocda!hou3c!burl!clyde!akgua!jett!aft@pucc-k From: aft%pucc-k@jett.UUCP (Klosky) Newsgroups: net.unix Subject: Unix Pocket Guide Message-ID: <168@pucc-k.UUCP> Date: Thu, 16-Feb-84 16:15:48 AST Article-I.D.: pucc-k.168 Posted: Thu Feb 16 16:15:48 1984 Date-Received: Mon, 20-Feb-84 04:50:28 AST Lines: 30 Relay-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site akgua.UUCP Posting-Version: version B 2.10.1 6/24/83; site pucc-k Path: akgua!clyde!burl!ulysses!mhuxl!ihnp4!inuxc!pur-ee!CS-Mordred!Pucc-H:Pucc-I:Pucc-K:aft Message-ID: <168@pucc-k> Date: Thu, 16-Feb-84 15:15:48 EST Date-Received: Fri, 17-Feb-84 09:26:58 EST Organization: Purdue University Computing Center -------------------- end double header -------------------- Something strange is going on here but I don't have time to figure it out, though it's killing our disk space.
