Subject: Misc ? on HpWidgets,DecWindows, and Graphics

well, i just subscribed, sifted through over 1000 articles, and realize
i'm out of my league, but here i go anyways:

as part of a larger contour mapping project, i have been
modifying Douglas Young draw program(form his book X window
sytems: programming and applications with Xt). Basically, i'm
learning as i go along, writing this on VAX workstations at MIT's
Project Athena.

BUT, my prof wants this to run on his new DEC workstations (3100 i think)
which utilize Athena widgets i understand. I'm using HP widgets
like Young, and was wondering can I get the HP for the DECS or should
i translate to Athena widgets, which are not as clearly explained.
I would prefer to stay with the HP widgets.

Also, has anyone translated Young's program to Athena widgets.

OR, what would be even better is if someone knows of an already
existing draw program on Athena Widgets(or even HP) that is more sophisticated
than Young's example. It must be public domain and have available
source code, so we can integrate with the rest of the program!

thanks a lot for listening to an amatuer!
