I'm looking for something very similar to xwatch (or xbiff). My console output is redirected to a pipe. What I'd like is a program that will feep when more data is placed into the pipe. Above and beyond that, I'd like to have the icon convert to a little window that has the last 5-6 lines of console output on it when a user plucks it with button-1. I've started to modify xwatch to do all of this, but I thought I'd check to see if someone else has already done something like this.
