[net.news] Strange subject lines

<O Great Line-Eater, accept thy humble servant's offering...>

	More and more lately, we've been seeing a h*ll of a lot of articles
with subject lines starting with AA followed by a string of digits. What gives?
Is some news somewhere chewing up subject lines so that some other news must use
internal numbers as subjects in followups? This should be fixed so I can see
that a given article's subject line says "Ronnie, Ronnie, he's our man..."
and 'n' the article.

i suspect that the AA message numbers is an artifact of sites bringing
up 4.1c or 4.2, where the mailer seems to have a hard coded ARPA
addressing style header in it.
