The tile says it all: What is a widget? Couldn't find that in any of the X windows books that I have, and there is no X guru around. Thanks! The Xt Intrinsics define a widget as (section 1.3): The fundamental abstraction and data types of the X Toolkit is a "widget", which is a combination of an X window and its associated sematics and which is dynamically allocated and contains state information.
