I am looking for an aplication to generate all my articles' pictures under X11. I am trying to use xfig 1.4 but it has many bugs, most of them related to the use of text in the pictures. Are there any new versions of XFIG or any other tool with better reliability? I am interested in that the format of the pictures must be fig or there must be a ??2fig aplication, this is because I what to use the transfig package to include the pictures in my LaTeX documents.
