I used to have the speedup fix in my readr.c but whoever
wrote it did not use the ndir library used by the rest of
the news software. (For those who don't know, ndir emulates
the 4.2BSD directory access routines.)
Thus when I converted to 4.2 I had to throw away the speedup.
Has anyone fixed the speedup fix to use ndir (or the real thing)?
