[comp.windows.x] xrn ignoring keyboard input

ras@sword.bellcore.com (Raymond A. Schnitzler) (09/01/89)

I am running xrn5.4, and I find that the advertised keyboard input
features of xrn don't seem to work.
<SPACE>, <^V>, etc are all ignored, rather than Doing-whats-right, etc.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Are there any good diagnostic
questions I can try to answer
to solve this?

xrn is on a vax 8650, running "Ultrix-32 V3.1 (Rev. 9) System #10"

Help?

The various key bindings (space bar, various meta + key combinations
to activate the buttons) dissappear after popping up one of the dialogs
(catchup, subscribe, save, etc). XRN is not properly installing/reinstalling
the key bindings. It is being worked on.

I am running xrn version 5.2 on a VAX station 3200 which runs Ultrix version 3.2. I too am having similar problems with xrn. Older version problems?

What I facing specifically is that the <space bar> which should be read as the next-page command is instead read as the next-item-in-the-newsgroup command.

I would appreciate your help if you could help me figure this out.

	Thanks,

	harsha.
