[comp.windows.x] Elementary, novice motif icon box question

eric@eddie.MIT.EDU (Eric Van Tassell) (08/26/89)

The mwm doc says "To use an icon box mwm must be started with the icon box
configuration already set". OK, so how do I do this? TIA

Set the "useIconBox" resource to True.

Assuming you already have mwm configured to start, then,

You may start the Motif Window Manager (mwm) icon box from your .Xdefaults file
in your home directory with the following entry. This is documented in several
places in the mwm docs.

Mwm*useIconBox: true
