  I'm sorry if it seemed so.

  I agree that the confusion betweenn DECwindows and X is unfortunate, but it is
real.  I can't count the number of times in the last month that I've had to tell
people "DECwindows IS X".

  [I did not mean to imply that this was DEC's fault -- I'm really flaming at
"the marketplace"...]

Isn't this just the sort of statement that is causing the confusion in 
the first place?
