[comp.windows.x] How to RUN non-X programs on different hosts?

tilak@sun3.fit.edu (09/06/89)

I am developing an user-interface for an
application(not important here) which runs non-X fortran
programs on CRAY and C programs on Sun.

How do I run non-X programs on different hosts?
(assuming I have access to these hosts).

try:
step 1: xhost the remote system (in your case the CRAY)

    step 2: enter the command:

	xterm -disp yoursys:0.0 -e non-X-program &
