Where can I find out about xrn (X read news rn, I presume) ? Come to think of it, where o where can I get ahold of all the nifty X shareware that undoubtedly exists? Boy, I'm so new to the net, it HURTS! D. J. Cheney, AWD/D16, 992-2A008, 3-3799

You can get xrn (version 6.0) from shambhala.Berkeley.EDU (128.32.132.54) in ~ftp/pub/xrn6-0.tar.Z. Concerning the comment about `xrn being an X rn', just to set the record straight, from the xrn man page: "The name XRN is a bit of a misnomer. XRN is not an X interface to 'rn' (the terminal-based news reading program by Larry Wall), but is an X-based NNTP news reader that has had part of the functionality of 'rn' added since a number of our users are (were?) 'rn' users (all of the code is new). Much of the 'rn' functionality that XRN currently has was not in the original plan." Rick Spickelmier UC Berkeley
