Has anyone adapted uucp so that it uses the 4.2 network support? Can I please have a copy? Seems that a socket should be used and have uucp use that as the `wire'. Anything is more reliable than the dinky RS232. -- --steve kramer {allegra,genrad,ihnp4,utzoo,philabs,uw-beaver}!linus!axiom!smk (UUCP) linus!axiom!smk@mitre-bedford (MIL)

Yes, there is an implementaton of uucico which runs under TCP/IP. The good people at seismo made the modifications and even added a 't' protocol (which presumably does very little, since TCP is doing all the checksumming, etc). Write to Raleigh Romine (romine@seismo.{ARPA, UUCP} for details. We got a copy from them, but since they did the work, ask them for it. -- Smoot Carl-Mitchell, CS Dept.
