I have Doug Young's book on programming with Xt and Xw, and was looking forward to finally doing some X programming. Unfortunately, I quickly discovered that Xw is not yet installed here. So, off I went to expo to get the Xhp R3 contributions, figuring that if something new were going to be installed it might as well be R3 rather than R2. Well, now I have another problem. Which blasted version of Xt do I need and where do I find it? What I gather is the official R3 Xt (but I could easily be wrong) doesn't seem to include XtDestroyStateTable, which is mentioned in README as an HP addition. There's an Xt under the Xhp directory in a contrib directory we have here, and it has XtDestroyStateTable defined, but just about all code having to do with it (including the body of the function) is commented out. What gives? I'll take any help I can get. Tell me whether I should use the R2 or R3 version. Tell me I really ought to quit fooling around with Xw and use Motif or something (but tell me how to get it and how to learn to use it). Tell me to go read the manual (but which one). Help!
