Excuse any improprieties in the posting, it's my first try ... I've been using a little home-brewed utility called queryterm that uses the ansi report escape sequence to identify a terminal type when possible. xterm poses a problems as it responds with a vt100 answer to the query, but xterm doesn't work right with a vt100 termcap (most notably the add-line operation.) Does anyone have a workaround? stew@hanauma.stanford.edu
