We've just got a new LAN of workstations here at Middle Tennessee State and there are still a lot of bugs. Of the sources that we've pulled off comp.sources.x that we've actually been able to compile, most of them still don't work right. The gif viewer xgif compiles okay, but doesn't look like it puts everything where it should when it displays. We can make out the outline, but something is still wrong. It all still looks kind of fuzzy and out of whack. Has anybody encountered this one? Okay, has anyone solved this one? Also, we can make xtrek all right, but it blows up with a "Can't find xtrek font, using alternate path", then "xset fp rehash" really causes problems. It also seems like the generic mit include files are gone. Maybe it has something to do with the upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1. The network is made up of DECstation 3100's and VAXstation 3100's, running Ultrix 3.1. We're all new to this and haven't had much time to dig in yet. Any advice would be appreciated. Let us know what to expect from sources that have worked on Sun stations when we try 'em on ours. Okay everybody, take your best shot. I'm a guest user on this account.
