Is it possible to capture protocol requests recieved by an X server so that they may be examined? I use a program that runs fine on a DECstation 3100 when using it as the X server but fails with a nonexistent font or colorname if I use a sun for the server. I would like to see what font was being requested. thanks for any help. Have you tried Xscope? If not it is available from xanth.cs.odu.edu in /usenet/comp.sources.x/volume2/xmonitor via anonymous ftp. Be sure to set binary mode.
