I am trying to build the HP widgets with the x11r3 Xt. I noticed that HP made changes to their version of Xt, does anyone have a list of the differences between the HP Xt and the R3 Xt?? I got the sources off the X11R3 contibutions tape. I think I got all the updates to R3, installed (It appeared to be still R2), but I want to use the 'Standard Xt' so I can mix and match with the Athena widgets. > ...does anyone have a list of the differences between the HP Xt and > the R3 Xt?? Well, to begin with the Xt distributed with the widgets is a bug fixed R2 library, not an R3 library. The R3 intrinsics were not made available outside of DEC in time for us to modify and test our widget set before the R3 tape deadline. > ...so I can mix and match with the Athena widgets. You'll need to use R2 Athena widgets or R3 HP widgets This is not a "supported" activity. If you don't care about keyboard traversal of the interface, you'll probably get away with it. Widget sets are not guaranteed to be mixable and matchable. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Benjamin Ellsworth | ben@cv.hp.com | INTERNET Hewlett-Packard Company | {backbone}!hplabs!hp-pcd!ben | UUCP 1000 N.E.
