I ran the make of the standard X distribution and found that xmh will not load due to the absence of a routine called 'alphasort'. After checking on one of our sun servers, this routine is part of BSD but not available on the HP/9000's under HP-UX. I looked in libbsd and it is not there. Any suggestions ?? +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Paul F Gerwitz WA2WPI | SMTP: gerwitz@kodak.com | | Eastman Kodak Co | UUCP: ..rutgers!rochester!kodak!eastman!gerwitz | +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

On September 25th, John Milburn posted this note on comp.sys.hp. >The X11 support tape from hp is available via anonymous ftp >from me10.lbl.gov (128.3.128.110). These files are provided >by hp as is, and thus are unsupported by hp (and by me!). >Feel free to grab them, but any problems are you own. I am not clear why it did not work for you so I will not hazard a guess. The xmh was compiled under 6.5 but seems to work around here on 7.0. Hope that this helps. Jim Byers HP CIS Marketing/Lab Team
